Altimeter offers two open enrollment workshops on Social Business Strategy specifically for Social Strategists. The goal is to serve organizations and individuals outside of the dedicated training sessions that are usually conducted in larger groups at individual companies. The workshop will be led by Ed Terpening, Senior Consultant from Altimeter Group. Ed was formerly the lead social media strategist at Wells Fargo and brings with him years of hands-on experience.
At the end of Day 2, these workshops also feature outside speakers who will share their experiences in creating social business strategies.

Customer Testimonials
“Altimeter Academy was an eye opening experience for me and helped me become really strategic in how I approach social and community at Yammer. Starting with defining a vision, to creating tangible, actionable strategies to support the vision — the workshop was just what I needed to take my game to the next level. The format of a small, hands-on work group, facilitated by world-class thought leaders was an experience of a lifetime. I came to work the next day and told my boss that this was the best professional experience I’d had to date.”Maria Ogneva, Head of Community at Yammer, Inc.

Confidentiality
Learning as a group increases when there is the ability to share. At the same time, because open workshops involve individuals from multiple organizations, confidentiality also needs to be respected. The workshops operate under the Chatham House Rule with the aim of providing anonymity to speakers and to encourage openness and the sharing of information. The Rule states:
“When a meeting, or part thereof, is held under the Chatham House Rule, participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s), nor that of any other participant, may be revealed.”
Therefore, participants are asked to think through in advance what aspects of their business strategy and tactics they are willing and able to share, keeping in mind that there may or may not be competitors in the room.
In addition, the workshops will be a social media free zone. Participants are free to indicate via social channels that they are participating, but are not permitted to share workshop discussions.
