Social Business Strategy Workshop

The Social Business Strategy Workshop is a one-day, hands-on workshop designed for social strategists and marketing executives responsible for social business inside their organizations. Students leave with pragmatic deliverables, including a draft vision, social business objectives and strategy initiatives for their specific business.

Students can expect these outcomes from the workshop:

Social Business Analytics Workshop

Altimeter’s Social Business Analytics Workshop is designed for social strategists, marketers, and others whose roles require them to interpret and report on social data and social media metrics. The workshop is led by Susan Etlinger, industry analyst and author of several influential research reports on social media measurement and strategy.

Participants in this half-day workshop we learn the following:

  • Understand the challenges and opportunities of social data.
  • Select metrics that are most relevant to your organization and map them to business objectives that executives care about.
  • Build organizational capability through coaching, mentoring and training social media measurement practitioners and business users.
  • Learn to evaluate social analytics tools based on your organization’s unique needs.
  • Implement an effective social media measurement strategy.

Content Marketing Workshop

Altimeter’s Content Marketing Workshop is design for marketing  and communications professionals. The workshop is led by Altimeter Analyst Rebecca Lieb, who has published three reports on content marketing: Content: The New Marketing Equation, The Converged Media Imperative: How Brands Must Combine Paid, Owned, and Earned Media, and Organizing for Content; as well as the book, Content Marketing.  Rebecca has taught in the postgraduate digital media program at New York University. The half-day workshop is hands-on, and students leave with an understanding of how integrated content marketing can meet broader business objectives.

Students will learn the following:

  • Understand the difference between Content Marketing and Content Strategy.
  • Map the five step path to content maturity.
  • Understand techniques for content distribution and dissemination (e.g., syndication, promotion)
  • Understand how to govern a holistic, enterprise-wide content strategy (e.g., with workflow, guidelines, documentation, training, etc.)
  • Learn how to conduct an content audit, to assess strengths and recognize gaps that represent opportunity.
  • Learn how to analyze an organization’s content needs and how listening and responding can help drive effective content strategy.
  • Understand the implications of Paid, Owned and Earned media convergence.
  • Learn how to measure content strategy results.
