As the founder of a small business, I know that the hiring and departure of each and every person makes a huge impact of the firm — and that this is an evitable part of the business. I’m proud to announce that two people are joining Altimeter, including our new COO. And we’re also bidding bon voyage to two people with whom I’ve had the honor to work with over the past few years.
The market for Altimeter’s research and advisory on disruptive trends continues to grow, in areas like the future of work, digital transformation, social, content marketing and media, and analytics. So I’m thrilled to announce the addition of Shannon Latta as Chief Operating Officer and Linda Saindon as Senior Consultant. They are joining to provide more depth to the team as we scale our research and our work across the enterprise.
- Shannon Latta joins Altimeter from Firebrick where she was a strategist and project leader for high-stakes client engagements ranging from positioning and new business models to sales enablement and cross-selling initiatives. She spent 17 years as a partner helping build Horn Group — where she drove the company’s expansion from classic PR firm to its leadership in digital communications. Shannon will be taking over all aspects of Operations from finance and marketing to sales and client delivery, and will also be responsible for driving Altimeter’s growth strategy.
- Linda Saindon joins us from Alchemic Consulting. An accomplished marketing executive, consultant and social business strategist with over 20 years experience, Linda has worked with and for multiple Fortune 500 companies including Sears Holdings Corporation, Kraft Foods, ConAgra Foods, Procter & Gamble and The Clorox Company. She’ll be joining Ed Terpening as a Senior Consultant applying Altimeter’s research on client engagements.

We’re also saying fond farewells to two analysts, who are leaving Altimeter to pursue their research and professional passions as independent analysts.
- Chris Silva is leaving to start his own firm focused on mobility and collaboration, where he’ll pursue his passion of serving IT practitioners. He’ll continue to work on a few select projects at Altimeter where we can tap especially tap into his enterprise mobility expertise. Chris can be reached at email@example.com or via Twitter @802dotchris.
- After almost four years with Altimeter, Alan Webber is returning to being an independent analyst and will be focusing on risk, technology, and government. I’m an admirer of Alan’s work in this space and look forward to continue working with him on specific Altimeter projects within his field of expertise and research. Alan can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org or via twitter @Alanwebber.
Please join me in wishing Chris and Alan all the best in their new adventures!
